23. I got a body like the Veda

Verse 23

சித்தத்தின் உள்ளே சிறக்கின்ற நூல்களில்
உத்தம மாகவே ஓதிய வேதத்தின்
ஒத்த உடலையும் உள்நின்ற உற்பத்தி
அத்தன் எனக்கிங் கருளால் அளித்ததே.

Translation:

Among the books that emerge within the chittam

The supreme veda-

Granting a body similar to that, the creator remaining within

My father granted me these here due to his grace.

Commentary:  Tirumular says that the Lord granted him a supreme body like the Vedas.  The Vedas are the best sources of jnana among all the works created from a realized chittam.   Thus, Tirumular is saying that he has a jnana deha or a body of wisdom.  He explains later that mukhta or realized souls adorn a body of jnana due to Divine will.  He is indicating that idea here. 

Besides granting such a body the Lord also decided to stay within it. Thirumular says that this was possible only because of Lord’s grace.   

சித்தத்தில் தோன்றிய நூல்களிலேயே மிக உயர்ந்ததான வேதத்தைப் போன்ற உடலைத் தனக்கு இறைவன் அளித்தான் என்கிறார் திருமூலர்.  ஞான நூல்களில் உச்சியிடத்தை வகிப்பது வேதமே.  இதன்மூலம் திருமூலர் தான் ஞான தேகத்தைப் பெற்றேன் என்று நமக்குக் காட்டுகிறார்.  முக்தர்கள் எனப்படும் அனைத்து எல்லைகளையும் கடந்த ஆத்மாக்கள் இறைவனின் சங்கல்பத்தால் ஞானதேகத்தைப் பெற்று இவ்வுலகில் ஒரு செயலைப் புரிவதற்கு வருவார்கள் என்று திருமூலர் பின் வரும் தந்திரங்களில் கூறுவார்.  அந்தக் கருத்தை இங்கே அவர் கோடிகாட்டுகிறார். 

இத்ததைய உடலைத் தந்ததுடன் இறைவன் அவரது உடலினுள்ளும் தங்க முடிவு செய்தான், இவையனைத்தும் அவன் அருளால் நிகழ்ந்தன என்கிறார் திருமூலர்.
