1.2.16 His form is like the thunder and loud noise

Verse 16

முடிவும் பிறப்பையும் முன்னே படைத்த
அடிகள் உறையும் அறனெறி நாடில்
இடியும் முழக்கமும் ஈசர் உருவம்
கடிமலர்க் குன்றம் அலையது தானே. 

Translation:

The sacred feet that created the beginning and end previously

(they)Will freeze if the path of Hara/dharma is sought

The form of Isa is thunder and its loud noise.

The fragrant flower hill.  It is the waves.

Commentary:  

Tirumular says that Maheswara is the cause for the world’s emergence and its termination. “mudivu and pirappu” also mean birth and death of a living being. When one seeks the Lord, whose sacred feet created the above one will experience the form of Lord, Isa, which is spectacular like the thunder and its loud noise. It is an overwhelming feeling that enamours the observer. It is also fragrant as a flower hill , it is a wave.

When a yogi attains the state of supreme consciousness the experience will be as spectacular as thunder and lightning. His body gets a special fragrance. The waves of bliss will engulf him. May Thirumular is referring to these experiences in the last two lines.

ஈசனே அனைத்தும் தோன்றுவதற்கும் மறைவதற்கும் காரணம். உலகத்தின் தோற்றமும் முடிவும் அவனால் ஏற்படுபவை. உயிரின் பிறப்பும் இறப்பும் அவனால் நியமிக்கப்படுபவை. இத்தகைய செயல்களைத் தோற்றுவிக்கும் ஈசனின் அடி இருக்கும் நன்னெறியை, அறநெறியை ஒருவர் நாடினால் அவர் ஈசனின் உருவைக் காண்பார். அந்த உருவம் இடியும் அதன் பெரும் ஓசையும் போல இருக்கும் என்றும் மணம் வீசும் மலர்க்குன்றத்தைப் போல இருக்கும் என்றும் அலையடிப்பதைப் போல இருக்கும் என்றும் திருமூலர் கூறுகிறார்.

குண்டலினி யோகத்தில் பரவுணர்வு ஏற்படும்போது அது அனுபவிப்பவரைத் தன்வயமிழக்கச் செய்யும். அந்த யோகியின் உடல் ஒரு விசேஷ மணம் பெறும். அதையே அவர் மலர்க்குன்றம் என்கிறார் போலும். ஆனந்த அலைகள் தோன்றி அவரை மூழ்கடிக்கும்.
