1.4.10 Panditha will explain the eighteen transformations as Siva did

பாடல் எண் : 10

பண்டித ராவார் பதினெட்டுப் பாடையும்
கண்டவர் கூறுங் கருத்தறி வார்என்க
பண்டிதர் தங்கள் பதினெட்டுப் பாடருளி
அண்ட முதலான் அறஞ்சொன்ன வாறே. 

Translation:

Those who saw the eighteen transactions

Will become wise (panditha).  They will know the essence mentioned there

The wise will offer the eighteen steps

In the same way that the Primary one of the universes mentioned the dharma.

Commentary:

The eighteen transactions that Tirumular describes in verse may mean several concepts one of them being the steps in transformation from a material state of existence to that of all pervasive state.  These are described in the agama and the knowledgeable ones, panditha, describe these in accordance with how Siva has described them in the agama.

இப்பாடலில் திருமூலர் பதினெட்டு பாடு என்று குறிப்பிடுவது பல தத்துவங்களைக் குறிக்கும்.  அவற்றில் ஒன்று பருவுடலிலிருந்து திவ்ய தேகமாக மாறுவது, அளவுக்குட்பட்ட நிலையிலிருந்து எங்கும் விரவியிருக்கும் நிலையை அடைவது.  இந்த தத்துவங்களை சிவன் ஆகமத்தில் கூறியுள்ளார் என்றும் பண்டிதர்கள் எனப்படும் சான்றோர் இவற்றை சிவன் விளக்கியுள்ளபடியே விளக்குவர் என்றும் கூறுகிறார் திருமூலர்.
