Verse 34
பிதற்றொழி யேன்பெரி யான்அரி யானைப்
பிதற்றொழி யேன்பிற வாஉரு வானைப்
பிதற்றொழி யேன்எங்கள் பேர்நந்தி தன்னைப்
பிதற்றொழி யேன்பெரு மைத்தவன் நானே.

Translation:
I cannot stop blabbering about the great rare one
I cannot stop blabbering about the one with the form that has no birth
I cannot stop blabbering about the one who is named Nandhi
I cannot stop blabbering about the one who is glorious.

Commentary:
This is an interesting verse which at the first glace appears to be talking about the Supreme, Nandhi who is the greatest, rarest birth-less, glorious one. Upon careful examination the last line seems to have two interpretations. It seems to mean “I cannot stop blabbering about that glorious one” and also “the glorious one is naan or self”. Nandhi, as we have seen before, represents an exalted state of the soul. Thus, in the state of Nandhi the Self has all the qualities that Thirumular seems to be ascribing to another entity that is distinct from him.

முதல் பார்வையில் இப்பாடல் நந்தி எனப்படும் இறைவனை திருமூலர் புகழ்வதாகத் தெரிகிறது. அந்த இறைவன் பெரியவன், அரியவன், பிறப்பிலி, பெருமையை உடையவன் தவசீலன் என்று அவர் கூறுவதாகப் படுகிறது. ஆனால் கூர்ந்து பார்க்கும்போது இந்த குணங்கள் அனைத்தையும் பெற்ற நந்தி நானே என்று அவர் கூறுவதைப் போலவும் தோன்றுகிறது. நந்தி என்பது ஆன்மாவின் மிக உயர்ந்த நிலை, பரநிலை என்று முன்னமே பார்த்தோம். இந்த நிலையில் இருக்கும் ஆத்மா பெரியது, அரியது, பிறப்பிலி, பெருமையுடையது, தவசிரேஷ்டன். அந்த நந்தி வேறு யாருமில்லை “அஹம்” எனப்படும் ஜீவாத்மா என்று திருமூலர் கூறுவதாகவும் இப்பாடலுக்குப் பொருளுரைக்கலாம்.
