13. I remained for one crore eon

Verse 13

செப்பும் சிவாகமம் என்னுமப் பேர்பெற்றும்
அப்படி நல்கும் அருள்நந்தி தாள்பெற்றுத்
தப்பிலா மன்றில் தனிக்கூத்துக் கண்டபின்
ஒப்பில்ஒரு கோடி யுகமிருந் தேனே.

Translation:

Uttering that with the name, sivagama

Getting the sacred feet of gracious Nandi who grants it

 After witnessing the singular/lonely dance in the faultless arena

I remained for an incomparable eon.

Commentary: Tirumular says he remained for a very long time uttering the Siva agama with  Nandi’s sacred feet in his mind, witnessing the dance of the divine in the arena of consciousness. Day/night, month, year and such divisions of time are calculated based on the number of breath.  Hence, when the yogin remains in samadhi with the breath stopped in kumbaka time also stops.  That is why Tirumular is saying that he remained in the state of higher consciousness for a crore eon. 

திருமூலர் தான்  இந்த உயர் உணர்வு நிலையில் நந்தியின் திருவடியைப் பெற்று சிவ ஆகமம் என்னும் பெயர் பெற்ற திருமந்திரத்தை உரைத்தபடி இறைவனின் தனிக்கூத்தை சித் அம்பரத்தில் பார்த்தபடி ஒரு கோடி யுகம் இருந்ததாகக் கூறுகிறார். 

பகல் இரவு, மாதம் ஆண்டு என்பது போன்ற காலத்தின் பாகுபாடுகள் நமது சுவாசத்தின் கணக்கினால் ஏற்படுகின்றன.  சமாதிநிலையில் மூச்சற்று இருக்கும்போது காலமும் நின்றுவிடுகிறது.  இதனால்தான் திருமூலர் தான் ஒரு கோடி யுகம் உயருணர்வு நிலையில் இருந்தேன் என்று கூறுகிறார்.
